Income & Expense Tracker (the "App") is a Windows desktop application for recording income and expenses. This policy explains what information the App handles. For the website, see the company Privacy Policy.

1. Summary

Your income and expense records are stored in a local database on your computer.
We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Review: Confirm there is no telemetry, analytics or crash reporting, and that no financial records are sent to our servers. The earlier draft claimed "encrypted at rest" and "no third-party analytics"; verify both before keeping them.

3. Sign in with Google

If you choose to sign in with Google, the App uses Google OAuth to identify your account.

Review (needed for Google verification): List the exact OAuth scopes the App requests (for example openid, email, profile), what each is used for, and where tokens are stored. The earlier draft also listed the drive.appdata scope for Google Drive sync; confirm whether sync exists. If it does not, remove it. Google requires a Limited Use statement if you access Google user data.

4. Software license and activation

The App is planned to be sold as a one-time software license with online license activation.

Review: Describe what activation sends (for example license key, device identifier, email), who processes payments, and how long records are kept. Do not publish this section until activation is built and verified.

5. Sharing and third parties

Apart from Google sign-in and, once implemented, license activation and payment processing, the App does not send your records to third parties.

Review: Name each third-party provider and its role.

6. Backups, retention and deletion

Your data stays on your computer until you delete it.
You are responsible for backing up your data.
Uninstalling the App may remove local data.

Review: Verify the uninstall behaviour and whether any automatic backup or export exists.

7. Children

The App is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

8. Your rights
